Ferrari Team Principal Stefano Domenicali has stressed the importance of Formula 1 governing body the FIA now reconsidering regulations surrounding the use of team orders in the sport. The Italian squad escaped further punishment on Wednesday after the hearing surrounding Felipe Massa's yielding to team-mate Fernando Alonso in Germany.

Todt: Not enough evidence to punish Ferrari

FIA President Jean Todt has explained that the Formula 1 governing body was not provided with sufficient evidence to confirm that team orders were used in the German Grand Prix. Following the Italian team's World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) hearing in Paris on Wednesday, no further sanction was imposed on the Scuderia following its initial 100,000 dollar fine in July.

Villeneuve now considering F1 team buy-in

Villeneuve Racing will not be present on the 2011 starting grid, with Formula 1 governing body the FIA having stated on Wednesday that no 13th team has been accepted. However, the 1997 World Champion is cautiously optimistic that becoming part of a current outfit remains possible.

Ferrari 'takes note' of FIA's decision

Ferrari has acknowledged Formula 1 governing body the FIA's decision not to impose a further sanction following its Wednesday court hearing in Paris relating to the team orders row of July's German Grand Prix. Despite now wishing to focus its attentions on the upcoming home race at Monza, it does note that all teams will be discussing the team orders regulation.

Damon Hill does not believe that Ferrari should earn a heavy sentence following Wednesday’s FIA World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) hearing in Paris, with the opinion of the 1996 World Champion being that the Formula 1 governing body should first tidy up rules surrounding team orders.
